For over twenty years Arboriculture Services by Mike Hennas has coupled a wealth of field experience and personal client
relations with an artistic view of residential landscapes to provide the Amherst, Hollis and Bedford area with the
highest quality tree and shrub care. With backgrounds in Arboriculture and Horticulture my holistic view of residential
landscapes is renowned throughout Amherst and Hollis with providing clients with healthy, vibrant and aesthetically
pleasing trees and shrubs.
As both a Certified Arborist and NOFA Certified Organic Land Care Specialist, I view residential landscapes as active
ecosystems. Understanding that your landscape is the gateway to your home and its beauty leaves a lasting impression on
your guests, I consider the individual needs and limitations of each plant in the landscape. This proactive approach
promotes both sustainable health and the structural integrity of trees and shrubs while maintaining natural shape and form.
I am passionate that trees are an indispensable asset in our environment, their importance has motivated me to share my
knowledge with the children of our community. Over ten years I have lectured at the Wilkins School in Amherst and Peter
Woodbury School in Bedford several times. These lectures focus on the importance of trees in the environment and instill a
lasting enthusiasm for trees in the next generation of children. In further outreach I have taught lessons in appropriate
pruning techniques and styles to garden clubs, including the accomplished gardener course at Beaver Brook Association in
Hollis.
